Still wouldn't rule out photocell completely. Just because a part is new doesn't always mean it works.wilhelm said:

Does it "fire up" or does it just run for a bit and stop? You should have a viewing port for the flame, can you see the flame? If not there's no spark, or the spark is in the wrong place. First one is transformer, second one is electrodes.
