Bathroom tiling

My plumber is fitting a quadrant shower before the walls have been tiled, is this correct? i thought you tiled the walls first then fitted the shower cubicle, what is the correct seqeunce for this?. one wall is plastered block and the other wall is boxed with aque panel ( do you still need to tank this stuff?) to hide the pipe work for the concealed shower.

Best practice is to fit the aquapanel, apply tanking to bothe walls, fit the tray then tile.
