Hi. I have the pleasure of a single pipe system. One of the rads, the one in the hall, hardly heats up at all, yet all the others are scorching. Any ideas why. Could a different pump help.

Turn some of the other rads temporarly off until the cold rad gets hot, then in turn, turn the others back on.

No a different pump would not help.

First check both valves are fully open, then turn all the other rads off, this will verify the flow through the rad and it should now get hot.

Leave it on for an hour after it gets hot, then open all the others and tweek all the return valves down 1/2-1 turn.
