THE PROBLEM IS THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO GET THE CH TO KICK IN. TURN ON THE HOT TAP AND THE BOILER FIRES UP GREAT GUNS.THE PROBLEM STARTED AFTER A POWER CUT AND WHEN THE POWER CAME BACK THE CH DIDN'T. ANY HELP WELCOME THANKS

Not a common problem. May be a switch on the diverter valve. Would check CH signals arrive at pcb.
 
Could be the CH thermister. I had this a prob a few weeks ago.
 
I am fairly certain this diverter valve rests in the dhw position so it is usually a dv fault. Thats one of the places I would look. Obvious things checked first though, like control signal continuity.

It definatly does not Paul.

If it worked before a power cut then I would suspect external controls such as clock and or roomstat are doing what they should.
 
D'OH! yes tabs, CH thermistor - well worth a check!
