We're looking at changing the boiler for a combi and wondering if it is worth leak/pressure checking the CH pipework (as it's mostly accessible with the floors removed) to avoid any future problems.

Has anyone done this and is it recommended? What sort of pressure might I be looking at using to leak check? 3.5 Bar?
Thanks

Certainly worth it - using water. 3.5 would be good, if you can isolate all the rads then you could go a bit higher, say 5.
I loaned my pressure tester to a neighbour and he noticed it went to 50 bar.... I'll let you guess...

Are there pressure testers available on the market or do you have to make them up? Tool Hire?
