Any advice would be useful.

I am installing a new electric shower. The inlet is plastic.

What is the best way to connect the 15mm brass elbow joint to a plastic shower inlet? It’s a compression fitting with an olive, but water is leaking from the plastic side.

Is there something I am missing?

Thanks in anticipation.

Wrap some ptfe tape around the plastic inlet then push the olive on and wrap some more around the olive.
The plastic inlets tend to be a tad under 15mm so need some tape applied.
Do not over tighten and support the elbow when tightening to prevent breaking the plastic pipe.
Good luck

Cheers!

Done it, just had to be a little braver with the spanner when tightening.

No leaks now!
