I have a poorly fitted bath overflow. It is the type that lifts the plug by rotating a knob. Looking at the back of the bath the whole assembly moves when you over rotate the knob and is very loose. Can anybody give me advice on how these things are installed or the best way to seal it please.

Thanks all

Its a bath combined pop-up waste. U tighten em up from the front by removing the knob that u turn . Most have a grub screw or allen screw thats accesable from underneath the bottom of the knob. bend ya head upside down in bath to check this out. if so remove the knob & u will have access to the inside that tightens it up. if theres no grub screw in the large knob then it will pull straight off.
