Hi,
I have a toilet cistern that is a B&Q special thats about 18 months old.
Its filling up really slowly. Its nothing to do wtih the float as i've tried adjusting this. Basically the water is coming out of a pin hole in the top of the mechanism which obviously isn't correct. (Its a push button flush)
Is there a filter or blockage somewhere? If so how do i access this?
Is it worth replacing the mechanism inside for complete new?
Can anyone help please,
Thanks Chad [/i]

Coming out of a pinhole certainly doesn't seem correct.

If you shut off the water supply to the cistern then you should be able to dismantle the float valve and examine it for scale - if you live in SE England then the water is reasonable hard and this could well be the root cause.

If you can post a photo of the float valve then it might help speed up diagnosis of the problem.
