our kitchen ceiling is lined with vee linings..tongue and groove about 4 1/2 inches width
i have emulsioned the toilet ceiling which is similar straight on with around 3 coats matt emulsion and it stuck

my question is...for the kitchen..what would be the best method to paint it to give a white matt finish

its finished in gloss varnish just now..dohhh!! and looks archaic..

any suggestions greatfully received
cheers

I would consider having it boarded with fire proff plasterboard mate

Its one hell of a fire hazard you have there

do as Zampa says and overboard it with 12.5mm boards and skim.

either that or egg shell. :?:  :!:
