Hi,

I have recently had my bathroom tiled. I asked the tiler not to tile an area above the sink so that I could get a mirror installed. This area is 1100mm by 900mm. I am ready to order the mirror now, but I'm unsure about how to install it. Should I order the mirror slightly smaller than the dimensions above, and if so, how much smaller? Should I use some sort of beading or silicone around the edges of the tiles before installing the mirror? Once the mirror is installed (glued up) how should I finish the gaps between the edges of the mirror and the tiles?

Thanks,

teddyk.

I'd be inclined to treat it as a big tile and try and leave the same grout space around the edge as you have done with the tiles. I'd grout the joint rather than silicone it.
