Hi I had a small leak in the ceiling and it has lifted the painted lining paper from some parts of the wall.

1. What is the best way to remove this as I do not want to do the whole wall just a couple of strips. Can I use a wallpaper steamer?

2. How is the best way to hang the new stuff and then paint it?

3. From reading this forum do the edges shrink, so will I need to use filler and if so which one..

Thanks

yeah you can use a steamer if u want, but try not to go on to the lengths of lining paper that you want to stay there.
rub the wall down , size the wall( sealer if the wall is damp from leak), rehang the lengths leaving a couple of mm gap.
let it dry , paint the new area , let it dry , paint the whole wall
