Hello,

We've just stripped the wallpaper from our bathroom and after trying to paint a base coat there's a clear covering on the plaster that comes off and blisters when trying to painted onto the walls.

I'm assuming its the wall paper paste but whats the best way of getting rid if it before painting, its patchy and doesn't scrape off too easily?

Thanks

It probably is wallpaper paste..does it sort of foam?..like paint stripper?

Youl need to scrub the wall down thoroughly with sugar soap and hot water..its a long and labourious job too.

Ive your able, go for linging paper instead..its quicker and youll have a nice surface to paint on
