I am considering an extension to a 1930's semi on a corner plot.
I have about 3.6m from the external wall of the house to my boundary, a pavement which is currently bordered by a connifer hedge.
Ideally i would like to build almost up to the pavement and replace connifer hedge with timber fence (allows me more floor area as hedge is about 600mm wide).
Does anyone know how close i can build to the boundary or would it vary from council to council.

any advice appreciated. :D

Best to give your local BCO a ring for their free advice or better still take a rough drawing to them

I think it`ll be a metre.....but DO ask, as Masona said ;)

Cheers guys, i've started on the plans but didn't want to go into too much detail if it was going to be a non-starter! ;)
