Getting a key made to fit a lock?

Hi Folks,

I have a rim lock on an internal wooden door (I think its a rim lock anyway), it looks like this...

Trouble is it doesn't have a key, do you know if I can get a key made to fit it or if trying to replace the whole thing, I'd want to get another orginal lock, any tips on finding one?

Thanks

Find a local independent locksmith (who has a shop) and take the lock off and drop it in and they may well be able to supply you with a new key, failing that they will be able to get you a new lock.

There should be no problem in getting a replacement key cut for this - no need to replace the lock.
