VW Sharan rear wheel bearing removal.

Hello. please may some one tell me how to remove the rear wheel bearing on a vw sharan 1998. TDI. As soon as possible. Do i need to take the rear axcel out and use a press, or can i use a slide hammer on the hub. Some one write back.
