Fixing a pedestal sink to wall, where 1 rawplug seems loose

Hi

I have a plasterboard wall, where I drill two holes and placed pasterboard rawplugs in them.

The first hole hit a wood baton, so that is as secure as anything.
The second was just plasterboard.
I inserted both plugs, then tiled the splash back.

As I come to fit the sink (with pedestal), one of the plugs seems loose.

What should I do?

1) Push plug through and try and get a second one through? (possibly having to widen the hole in the tile)
2) Lots of pink grip and 1 firm plug and pedestal?
3) Take off tiles, cut a hole and try to fix in some wood to the batons, to act as an anchor? (this one does seem the most secure, but hardest).

What do you think?

I would try using a good quality fixing on the side that is loose such as these.

If that fixing works for you by the time you have sealed the back of the basin with silicone you will have a sturdy fix, The weight of the basin should be on the pedestal and the fixings just to stop it coming away from the wall.

That could work.

I drill a size 10 hole and put in a plasterboard plug.

/edit/ Just noticed it is size 8 drill bit, hopefully I can find a larger one/

hopefully this will be large enough to fill that hole and sit firmly in it.

Will have to drill a larger hole in the tile to slot it in.

The fixings come in various sizez.

you'll need one of those guns to work the cavity fixing - otherwise it'll just spin round and around and tear you a bigger hole in your plasterboard.
