What saw for building a deck?

Hi All
I am planning in the next few weeks of building a large deck area. I have been looking around at mitre saws and crosscut saws but the cheaper ones cut less that 100mm deep. I will basically be cutting 6" x 2" joists and 4"x4" posts. Anybody any ideas on the least expensive way of doing this. I dont want to buy a expensive saw and probably never use it again.

a cheap chopsaw and finish the last 25mm ish with a hand saw unless you very very carefully support your posts so they wont drop and turn the posts over
