Where is the "general concensus" documented? Certainly not in the forum rules.I thought the general consensus was that we don't provide information on how to bypass security, which would allow people to potentially break in to a property?
This topic hadn't provided housebreaking advice - the information provided was to help someone remove and replace a Euro lock.
Do you really think that burglers go around drilling locks?
And has the advice been PMd to the OP? If not then why not?

ive taken it apon myself to drill out lock, as i take it a locksmith would probably do, im not looking for advices on breaking into house just removing and refitting a new lock

i watched a locksmith(he hated me for doing it )gain entry to a double glazed back door where i work and he didnt drill it,but it only took him about 20seconds to get in i was amazed as they charged about 100 quid with a new lock fitted and he was there total 15 mins.

Oh hush my mouth what have I said.
Personally I have no problem with the fees that competent locksmiths charge. Many of them experience significant gaps between callouts, and commonly work unsociable hours, and yet have to carry enough stock to deal with problems expediently. And that's all on top of gaining the not inconsiderable skills in the first place.
Hi, if you pm me I shall be able to help, I trust that this is your own property you are attempting to gain entry to and not any one elses, I agree with many on this forum, all the information on how to gain entry to property with euro cylinders is widely available on the web. Any potential burglar would not even consider joining a forum like this, when all they have to do is google for an answer, or possibly look at YouTube for a video on the subject. We are a business who deal in doors, and from time to time we have door sets that come through which have no keys, at that point we have no alternative but to open the leaf via alternative means other then the keys!

burglars do not NISS about removing cylinders. most could not even read the post.
Typical burglar walks down street sees open window and he's in
sees you on garden he sneaks in. does not need to drill locks out people leave him a way in 90% of the time.

ive now been doing upvc repairs for over 3 years , just looking for advices on the quickest and easiest way to remove a lock from a upvc door were both keys have been snapped in lock , ive removed side locking screw , but lock has locked in that position so that you can,t pull lock out

No specialised tools required - just basic knowledge that you should have if you're trading in UPVC repair.
stayclean, I agree with HandyHands, when I first read your post it appeared you had a problem, for one thing when I re-read your post to have two keys broken in the cylinder is very bad luck, it would also be quite difficult to get two keys fully in the cylinder at once? You now tell us you have been working on these items for a number of years. If that is the case you would already know how to remove the cylinder even with broken keys in it? Can you clarify!
It doesn't need clarification - he's a uPVC repairer, not a lock repairer.
If he emails me over I shall tell him how to remove the old cylinder, a 5 minute job, and no bump keys involved!
