I'd like to put a series of coat hooks on the back of my bedroom door, but not sure how to best attach them. As the door is hollow my thinking was to put the hooks into a short board and then glue that to the door?
If glue is the answer then what kind should I use? The downside to glue is that it's permanent, but I can live with that. Otherwise should I be considering some kind of clever raw plugs?

Thanks in advance...

I have done these in the past with normal red or brown plugs with no problems.

But if these are for the bath robes, then toggles or cavity plugs may be better

The hollow door plugs look ideal, should have guessed something like that would exist!

Also, I've realised that buying a coat rack is much more sensible than messing about with individual hooks.
