I asked my builder to convert a bedroom cupboard into an airing cupboard and he has fitted two Redring Sun Tubes in the bottom of the cupboard (they are fixed about 8 inches off the floor on a wooden 'box' but are not connected to electricity yet).

I have never seen these in use anywhere previously and I am concerned about the risk if clothing or linen touch or fall on the tubes. Is it advisable to fit a guard over the tubes?

Can't give you a definate answer as the wattage varies between 60w & 360w but instinct would suggest that they should have a guard around them to prevent clothing covering the heater(s).

Why now give Redring a call and ask their advice ?
