I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the following.
Here is a picture of my bathroom wall, which has had some moisture damage,

And here is a close-up of the same wall showing a wooden beam that has partially rotted away,

I had one specialist come round and claim that it was dry rot and that we should have an exposure test. But I'm inclined to think it's just wet rot, hence nothing serious, am I right?

Sorry mate looks like dry rot to me , get another specialist in just to make sure.
Eposure works to determine extent should be minimal and free.

both dry rot and wet rot do cuboidal cracking but to me it looks like dry rot.do get a few more firms in to give you advice but i cant see how exposure work will be free, especially once the firm tell you how many telephone numbers it will be to put right and you choose not to go ahead.
