Hi
I need to put a (7x5 foot) shed in my garden. Would I save much if I bought the materials and built it myself or isn't there much difference between doing it this way and buying a flat pack from my local DIY store?
Thanks

Depending on your local timber merchants prices you may save a little but the bonus of building your own is you can control the quality, most of the sheds I have seen at the DIY places are total crap to be honest and wont last as long as one that you build yourself using good quality timber.

I have seen better sheds made out of old pallets and such like than the DIY flat pack ones, but go for some good quality treated shiplap and it will outlast any of the flat pack rubbish!
