woodern frame porch

Hi

I'm looking at building a woodern frame with brick porch to replace the exsisting one we already have.

Can any one recommend any good books to help me with the framing ie this is what you do when it comes to a window etc..

I have found a few but are american. would this make much of a difference?

They're all written by people like Sylvan Tieger, that's the difference
