roof insulation

Hi everybody
Can anyone give me some advice on roof insulation. I am doing a loft conversion. The Velux's are in and the studwork is almost done. I have got to choose a insulation material for the inner roofspace. The rest of the house has between the rafters celotex style rigid foam about 700 mm thick with a foil on one side. I have seen a material which comes on a roll and has about 9 layers. Is this any good? It looks like it would be easier to apply. Do you just tack it up and put the plasterboard over the top?
I really could use some good advice here as it is a big roof space and it will cost a lot of money either way.

If you're talking about Triso you definately need to contact your local building control and see if they accept it, some do some don't. It seems okay if you can get away with it. http://www.tri-isosuper10.co.uk/index.htm
