I have a client who wishes to have a single skin brick shed built, assuming correct DPC is used is there anything else that can be done to reduce damp ingress over time. A rosemary tiled roof will be fitted.

use a semi engineering brick with 3:1 mortar and take your time on the pointing. a decent soffit or overhang at the eaves detail will help too.

lining the interior will help but reduces space and is obviously more costly.

I've done some work on a friends house, it's originally a cowshed dating from the 1700s. That's a single brick construction, with painted, roughcast render, and there's no sign of damp in there.
