Halstead finest platinum banging

As soon as i switch it on it will start to bang loudly i then turn it straight off as i dont want to cause any damage. are there any simple causes for the problem or do i need a Pro to fix it?

The pump has probably gone

do a search of freeing one up

I just took the top cover off the boiler to see what i could see when it was open a made sure what looks to be like the fan for the air vent was spinning which i could move freely. I then turned it on again i got a slight metal squeeling noise then the light stayed on red and the pressure at 0 but no banging this time . anything else i can do so i can have my hot water back

If your pressure is at 0 then that means there is probably no water in the boiler

Re-pressurise boiler to just over 1 bar and then try again.
