What are the sizes of the boards, thickness and what's the width of the room?
In most circumstances you can install it floating on foam underlayment, glueing the T&G's __________________ You buy quality, we'll advise. You buy rubbish, we won't!

hi
the chipboard is 20 mm thick and no room is bigger than 4.5m x 4.5 m
the wood planks would be 150mm x 18mm
the whole of the downstairs is to be laid.
i've heard the stickdown underlay may be an option? |

If the chipboard is level and sound 3mm foam underlayment is all you need (and PVAC adhesive to glue the T&G's).
Stickdown underlayment is a good product (Elastilon, don't go for the look-a-likes) but expensive solution __________________ You buy quality, we'll advise. You buy rubbish, we won't!
