Cloakroom Sink Waste
Reply with quote Thanks

I have plumbed a new sink into my downstairs toilet and I was going to use the old waste pipes that are already there, however, I needed to slightly adjust the angle. I have bought a push fit waste bend and the extra 32mm waste pipe I need, but the old waster pipe is about 2 mm bigger, what do I need to get to avoid me having to change all the waste pipes (it would mean a lot of work doing that!)

cheers

So what does that mean I need to get, I don't want to replace the old waste that is in place, are there other push fit wastes that I can get??

The waste pipe went directly into the trap, there was no fitting, however now the trap is in a different position to my previous sink as it is a vanity unit and I therefore need a fitting to change the angle and connect the trap to the waste pipe?? I hope this makes sense

Apologies, it was compression with a nut, I have bought a new trap and additional waste pipe (which is thinner) plus the angled connector, which fits the new waste pipe but it too small for the old

right getting there.

if your new trap is compression same as old you must stick with that type fitting & pipe.

pushfit pipe/fittings don't go with compression.

so you need to take the pushfit pipe & fitting back and change for compression pipe/fitting
