2 way light socket

2 way light socket

just replacing a light switch from a dimmer switch. problem is the remaining light switch has just 2 connectors the new light switch has 3(ground) all wires are hooked up. I only have 2 wires remaining should i unhook one of the grounds from the box and move it to the light switch? icon_biggrin.gif

Are you completely sure the extra terminal is a ground terminal? If it is you should not move one of the grounds to this terminal, you would put a new link between the existing 2 grounds in the box and the ground terminal on the faceplate. (Is it a metal switch?)
If you are not sure it is a ground terminal then we may see the flash from here if you connect to it.

Didnt know there was electricity in Canada, blimey.

Suggest you post on Electrics outside of UK. We've got enough troubles of our own.
