Help! does anyone have any experience of successfully removing this ghastly stuff?
It is like a stretchy play dough with a sheen to it and has a bounce property. It is stuck to a fleece blanket, has not permeated the fabric fibres but is well and truly stuck. It has not set hard ie: is still a bit flexible.

Try putting the blanket in the freezer until the putty sets hard and scrape off. then through it in the washer.
