I am replacing a radiator following some building work and need to connect 12mm Plastic Pipe to my current 8mm Copper Microbore.
Is the most suitable method just fitting a compression reducer (12mm to 8mm) and are there any problems with connecting Plastic to Copper?? Or are there more suitable methods of connection etc?
Thank you in advance... |

As long as the joint is made properly then there are no problems.
8 mm heating is very much on the lower edge of being satisfactory from a flow rate aspect. That makes balancing quite important. Although the high resistance of the small tube has a self balancing effect if the lengths are similar.
