Hi,

My old bath/shower mixer taps, "telephone cradle" type, are worn out. I've bought a new replacement. Can anyone tell me whether the pillar to mixer connections are standardised? I'm wondering whether it is possible to just fit the new mixer unit to the existing pillars, save me messing under the bath?

thanks

Steve

:) Ok thanks, I think that's what I expected really. I just wanted to get a feel for it before I start undoing things, as there is no isolator for the cold water supply to the bath so I have to turn off mains.

Thanks guys.

I suppose it would make my life easier if I fitted an isolator on the cold feed to the bath. I've seen standard compression ones. Is there a self-cutting one?

ok. Maybe a good time to fit an isolator then. Just got to get over the lack of confidence and go for it.

Thanks anyway.
