Hi everyone.

I'm getting an intermittent problem with my boiler. Every now and again it keeps bringing up the code F1. the manual says it is an ignition fault.

Any idea whats causing this fault to appear. Seems to do it more when the 'boost' button is used.

Thanks

Could be a number of things, all of which will require a corgi reg guy.

Ive had a board, gas valve and damp spark electrodes all cause intermittant F1 codes.

Got a local corgi guy coming out to take a look at the end of the week.

He seemed to think it could be an electrode fault but also mentioned gas mixture. He's bringing a gas analyser (think thats what he said).

Just had the prob a few mins ago. hit the boost and boiler went to F1. Reset and again its working fine...

Can't see why it would only do it on boost.

Boiler does not know where or what the 'on' signal is coming from.

glowworms are well known for ignition faults.

Maybe the problem is caused by a small child dressed in an insect costume sitting on top and obstructing the flue????
