I can\\\'t find where the temperature control is for my immersion heater! I\\\'ve removed the insulation around the boiler and checked on the timer control. My hot water gets very hot to around 90 Celcius. Anyone any ideas?

Switch off the supply and remove the round plastic cover of the immersion heater. You will see a small black plastic terminal block that normally has a small adjustable screw for the temperature. Mind you, if everything was working OK before hand there's a good possibility that your thermostat has packed up.
