Aqualisa Outlet Assembly Removal

Happy New Year

Any ideas on what tool I can use to remove the outlet assembly for an Aquavalve 609 from the outlet pipe (15mm copper)? The outlet assembly is a push fit onto the outlet pipe but the pushfit removal tool I have (Speedfit) doesn't fit!

I've never had any success trying to get the grab ring past the scale and keep it in shape, so always end up either cutting the pipe and pushing it off the other end, or wrecking the grab ring and fitting a new one.

I contacted Aqualisa and the grab ring is not meant to come off, so I resorted to cutting the grab ring off and fitting a new Outlet Assembly.
