Noticed that our UPE 25-60 180 Grundfos Pump is making a strange noise when running ?

Fully vented to remove air having removed chrome cap on the front of the casing head.

It is making a noise like an old steam locomotive - a quick paced "clickity click" sound.

Pump configured in the constant pressure setting at position 3.

Any ideas ? Could the bearings be worn - pump is less than year old ?

would need to dismantle it then ?

rads after the pump seem are hot - could this still happen with a broken impellor ?

are they all hot or only the nearest ones.
yes if only abit is broken still run.
isolate pump valves, if you can move them and undo the 4 allen bolts then you can see the propeller.

Sounds like a bit of debris or lump of solder stuck in the housing, if you turn the pump speed down does the noise slow also? Strip it as advised and make sure its clean.
