Hi all,
Im going to view a flat tomorrow that is double glazed but the old wooden window frames and wooden window sills have been left in. It was an old lady who lived in the house who is now in a home so theres every chance she has been ripped off by a window fitter who has charged her for double glazing and left the old wooden frames and window sills in. I had a look at the flat today from the outside and the old wooden frames and old window sills are very rotten in places.
Im wondering if the double glazed window panels can be removed and plastic sills and frames can be put in and then the double glazed window panels can be put back in?
Its all a matter of cost i.e the amount its likely to cost to get sorted will be reflected in the offer I will put in and if they have to be completely re double glazed I may as well forget about it.
Thanks
Alex
