Hi all, i ned to change 2 MCBs in an old style crabtree board, the breakers are marked as b32 so not very very old, but also have bs3871/en60898 on the side of them , they are called starbreaker and have the busbar stub on the back of the breaker. Are the newer starbreaker MCBs compatible with these older ones, and will they fit like for like?

Or does anyone have a couple of the older ones with the grey switch on them in a B20A rating they are willing to sell ?

the ones with the tongue on the back are the modern ones.

the one i have with a tongue on the back looks like an old sb6000 range , withouth the lowetr terminal obviously , but the newer ones look like normal standard mcbs of now , the switch goes all the way across the front of the module, whereas the older crabtree ones just had a grey switch in the middle of the mcb.

I have some B16's for sure with a stub on the back - maybe have some B20's. Can look on Tuesday.

surely there's a part no on the front?

might begin 61 or 610?

can you post a pic?

the ones with the p/n beginning 61 are definitely starbreaker ones, but Crabtree also make Polestar and something else (forget the name) and on older versions, they semed to fit each other (I formerly had some older Crabtree RCDs not marked with range name and couldn't identify the range by examination, measurement or trial fitting as they all seemed the same).

If you can post a pic of your CU it may help

Or (the price is OK) you could just buy the Ebay ones.
