Stench pipe problem

We are about to put the roof on our 2 story extension. Builders have finished and roofers due in next week. We have just realised that the stench pipe is going to be in the way of the new roof. Can we cut it off (its pvc) temporilyl while the roof goes on and then extend it out somewhere else??

Ask your BCO nicely and he might let you use a roof tile vent.
