Hello,

The master bedroom of the house we recently bought has mirrored-glass sliding wardrobe doors. The glass is Pilkington Optimirror Plus, which does not have the protective backing of the Optimirror Protect glass -- apparently recommended for this application.

So, someone cut some corners and, as we have a young child who just loves to hit things -- especially himself, in a mirror -- I'm rather worried that this could be a serious accident waiting to happen.

Anyone know if it's possible to buy and apply a similar protective film to make the glass safe (or safer)? I've emailed Pilkington but so far, no response.

Would appreciate any tips/ideas.

Thanks.

Harry.

sorry for the delay only just spotted your post.

if you have a local glazing merchant in town ask them if they will sell you some saftey backing film this will meet the requrements you need.
as some of the saftey films have a seperate paper backing you peel off.the other type is on a roll so they may have some left on a roll end if that is the type they have. failing that google SAFTEY BACKING FILMS>
