Hello,

I want to have a victorian tiled insert fire with a wood surround fitted

The chamber dimensions inside the actual chimney breast are:

18.5" wide, 25" high and 13" deep.

Do the tiles have to fit inside the chimney breast?

no. the tiles will be pre-fitted to an insert.

Sorry I didn't explain myself properly,

As the tiles on the insert slope in at an angle will the chimney hole

need to be made higher and wider to accomadate for this.
