getting cutout and meter moved

Power supplied by Npower in a UU area.

How do I go about getting my service head and meter moved?

Do I need to contact both companies separately?

NPower website seems to fob off issues relating to service head

Any tips on how to get this work done this century would be appreciated.

Thanks.

p.s. service h and meter to move 2 meters away from current location, from floor level to ceiling level.

Alternatively, strike up a freindship with a DNO cable jointer who like the odd foreigner....

Odd that an electricity supplier would turn down the chance to charge someone several hundred quid for not a lot of work...

Ring them both and see what they do - they may replace and upgrade cutout and replace meter for free but are likely to want huge amounts of money for moving cut out and/or meter. They cannot justify the cost or how long you might have to wait to have it done.

As click-sure says, many DNO jointers will tell you whats involved in your job, and what the DNO will do to move it!!!
