The heat exhanger apparently needs to be changed. This is apparently ge in the system that hasn't been flushed?

Can i clean it? If so can i do this myself?

Been quoted £140 inc parts and labour to change the heat exchanger.

We charge £136 to diagnose the problem and fit a precleaned plate HE. Less as part of other work.

You can try to clean it but its a bit messy and needs acids to do it properly. Or you could fit a new one and try to clean the old one yourself at your leisure.

However it sounds as if you have several problems on your boiler so it might not be a total fix.
