Hi

This is a bit of a strange one. Basically my toilet seat keeps falling down from the vertical position of its own accord. I'm not entirely sure why other than that it is probably not at 90 degrees. Does anybody know of what needs to be done to correct this or if there are any useful tricks that would allow me to do so?

Thanks in advance.

If possible, adjust the seat hinges. Push them forward a bit.

khev - the seat & lid need to be 'parked' at an obtuse angle (more than 90 degrees) to the pan lip. Close-coupled WC adjust hinges as scoop says. Low-level (or high level for that matter) WC means the seat & lid are parked against the flush pipe; try the hinge trick first. If that doesn't solve the problem then you might have to ease the pan forward slightly, this'll work if your pipe arrangement/pan fixing will allow.
