Anybody able to help with connections between an Optima G3 panel and Texecom Odyssey 1E bellbos strobe.

The panel has the following;
T -ve tamper return
A -ve supply (0V)
D +ve supply(12V)
B -ve sounder trigger
and
+ strobe
- strobe

The bellbox has
A (12V) permanent +ve supply
B (Bell) -ve applied output to activate siren
C (tamp) -ve removed on tamper input
D (0V) permanent -ve supply
S (strb) -ve applied output to activate strobe.

I think:
T (on panel) goes to C (on bell box)
A (") goes to D (")
D (") goes to A (")
B (") goes to B (")
but I'm left with 2 strobe outputs from panel (+ and -) and 1 input ( -) on bell box.
Do I have these correct and how do I deal with the strobe?
help welcomed.

Ignore the strobe plus at the panel and wire the two negs together.

The strobe plus was for a simple bellbox with 4 wires.

You've got the rest of it right.

Joe,

This is an old post, but it is relevant for me.

You said wire the negatives together.

Is the optima strobe -ve a switched negative? So should -strobe on the panel go to the S terminal on the Odysses bell box? If not how does the strobe get activated. Or should you run a second wire from the panel's 'B' sounder trigger to the Texecom's Strobe input, as then when the sounder goes negative so will the strobe and both will be activated. But if you supply the negative rail from the panel to the Texecom won't this alway be low and thus in the triggered state?

Thanks,
Pete
