I\\\'m replacing the threshold on the outside back door. There is a piece of metal running along the top of the wooden threshold. How do I get it out and do I put the new one in when I put the wooded threshold into position? |

on an inward opening door the metal strip stops the rain from
being driven under the door
you may find your metal strip extends into the door frame

I'm about to embark on the same problem replacing the threshold of my back door. The wood is completely rotten under the metal frame. I believe the metal is part of the frame thats the way the door comes new. I don't really want to remove the frame and rehang the door. Any suggestions are welcome.[/quote] |
