Where do I stand?.......

i think me and wabbitpoo could be here all day picking out the faults in that work. If you want a list post some pics of the whole lot, but as well as the patio, the fence is a shambles as well and looks like well over the top in terms of pricing.

do not pay another penny to them. speak to trading standards or the CAB

Thanks I will do that

Even though I'm obsessive when it comes to straight lines and levels ... Were they pi**ed when they laid them?

I've never seen such a shoddy job, Mrs Megawatt could have done better ... And she's totally useless.

One for the citizen's advice bureau methinks.

Good luck

I had a handyman type geezer come round to do some guttering jobs for me today, and I showed him the patio.

He was gobsmacked at how bad it was. Uneven, wobbly, not straight, and the 'grouting' is like powder, and will not last one winter he reckons.

He told me not to pay anymore and the bloke who laid it cannot take it away as it is on my land.

He could return and put the bad work right, but that is doubtful as he won't even answer his phone.

I think he as actully 'done one' and taken the hit of leaving his wheelbarrow a bucket, two brushes and a trowel, AND A HIPPO BAG, for me to sort out.

I am relatively happy with paying out £1000 for the fencing, tree work and the patio (even in its crappy state - its MUCH beter than it was before).

It is the uncertany I don't like... getting back to my original post of 'where do I stand?
