We are currently converting a utility room into a downstairs wc. in our VERY old cottage The floor is quarry tiled. I have fitted a 'back to wall' cistern and am now onto the pan. The predrilled securing holes in the base of the pan are at such an angle as to be useless. Can anyone recommend an adhesive which might do the trick. The floor is ancient quarry tiles, the pan is obviously ceramic. Can I use either Unibond translucent sealant, or Evo-Stick Serious Stuff Adhesive?? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks very much - Chris

The predrilled securing holes in the base of the pan are at such an angle as to be useless.

they are designed to be like that so when secured to the floor they are more secure than screwed vertical.
mark the holes and secure it to the floor as designed. then seal round edge with white silicone.

Not sure what toilet you have but was just wondering if you should have been supplied a pair of plastic fixings which screw to the floor first and then the pan is fixed to the fixing?
