claiming cost of van hire
Reply with quote Thanks

Van went in for warranty repair last tuesday, Nissan primastar, clutch slave cylinder blown seals. I asked for a courtesy van but nothing available, so ive had to hire a van since last wednesday costing £250 p.week. Phoned again today to see if mine is ready, still not fixed waiting for parts apparently, so hire van costs go into a second week. What are the chances of me being able to claim back the cost of the hire van off them or off Nissan? Anyone had any success in a similar situation?

don't know about nissan, but i was a ford dealer.

if parts were not available ford would pay up to a certain amount per day no prob at all. usually worked out 3 or 4 quid a day less than the hire cost though. if the customer bought the van from us we , as the dealer, used to cover the difference no hassle.

best of luck.
