I have a concrete floor which I plan to lay porcelain floor tiles onto.

the adhesive I got from the tile retailer is ARDEX "ARDU-FLEX 5001" which is a cement based adhesive.

I had to remove the old lino floor covering first. In places it has left behind a thin layer of the lino glue. I have sanded down the bumpiest parts - its now smooth, but there is still a glue layer in some places.

I wondered if I need to remove all of the glue before applying the tile adhesive?

Also I note that some people on here recommend using PVA to seal the concrete first.

Can anyone offer any advice on the best method and whether I need to get rid of all glue first AND then seal before I apply adhesive?

I saw the following floor glue remover on another thread:-
